Man United is sinking!

Boxing Day (the day after Christmas in England) did no favors for Manchester United and its supporters. The Red Devils lost on the field of Wolverhampton (2-0) for the fourth defeat in five championship matches for Ruben Amorim. MU records its eighth defeat in 18 days and languishes in 14th place in the standings, seven points from the top 5. This may not get better straight away because the Mancuniens continue against Newcastle and Liverpool next week…

United did not manage to impose their game despite the instructions of their young Portuguese strategist and their playing master Bruno Fernandes was sent off for a second deserved yellow card at the very start of the second half (47th). Catastrophic, especially since Manuel Ugarte received a warning immediately which will also deprive him of the match against the Magpies next Monday.

Man United take a coming corner!

The Wolves found the fault in a stroke of genius from Matheus Cunha, author of a sumptuous returning corner (58th)! The Brazilian striker recruited from Atlético is definitely impressive for his second season in the English championship, posting a record of 10 goals so far. The Molineux residents held on (against the Mancunians at 10 and without genius) and Cunha went on a counter-attack at the end of added time to offer a first goal this season to Hwang Hee-Chan (99th).

The Wolverhampton of Vitor Pereira, another Portuguese coach, leaves the red zone to find themselves 17th in front of Leicester, first relegation.
