A magnificent initiative. Accompanied by his wife, Diogo Dalot went to a homeless shelter. The Manchester United full-back donated clothes and food and also spent Christmas Eve serving hot meals to more than 100 people. Dalot expressed his pride in living in Manchester for six years and his desire to help those most in need. “ Unfortunately, the number of homeless people is increasing. As a family we want to raise awareness and help people directly wherever possible. We started working with Lifeshare, an amazing charity that does a lot to help vulnerable people. The volunteers I met here today are a true source of inspiration. They are true heroes and it was with pleasure that I discovered their dedication. I am so grateful to have been able to spend time with them and play a small part in carrying out such vital work for the people they support “, he indicated.

Jahan Hussain, head of Lifeshare, welcomed the initiative, emphasizing the importance of the support received in a difficult context where the organization was at risk of closing its doors. Services such as pet care or eye consultations are also available. Dalot’s visit brought a smile to the faces of volunteers and the homeless.
