Man City: another absence confirmed

This smells bad for John Stones. Exited due to injury at half-time of the match between Aston Villa and Manchester City (2-0) last weekend, the Englishman is already out of the next match against Everton. It was his coach Pep Guardiola who announced it at a press conference before the match against the Toffees.

“I haven’t spoken to the doctors yet, but apparently the reason he couldn’t continue in the second half at Villa Park is because he won’t be ready…”the Spaniard told the press. An absence which comes at the worst time for the Skyblues, who are going through a more than difficult sporting period with only one victory in their last twelve outings. The duration of Stones’ unavailability has not yet been revealed.
