Will OM lose their Ballon d’Or?

Ballon d’Or 1991, Jean-Pierre Papin could leave OM and the reserve team he coaches, for Martigues, last in Ligue 2.

Last of Ligue 2the Provencal promotion said goodbye to Thierry Laurey at the start of the week. The former OM central defender could be replaced by another ex of the Marseille house, Jean-Pierre Papin. The two men were teammates during the 1986-1987 season.

JPP, Ballon d’Or 1991, would be in discussions with the Martega leaders. The former French striker now coaches the OM reserve team, now third in group J of the National 3 Championship. In view of recent events between Jean-Pierre Papin and the OM management, a separation would not pose any difficulties.

According to several sources, reports RMC Sportnegotiations are on track to bring in the 61-year-old technician. JPP managed RC Strasbourg (2006-2007), RC Lens (2007-2008) and Châteauroux (2009-2010) in particular.
