The work on Camp Nou is still far from finished and FC Barcelona will not return to its brand new stadium in January, as initially planned. We will have to wait until March, perhaps April, to finally find the historic grounds of the club. In the meantime, we have to find a new pitch because the Barcelona town hall has already planned other events in Montjuic, where the Blaugrana have been playing since the start of the work. Nothing to worry about for Joan Laporta either. According to the Catalan president, we simply have to be patient.
“The work is progressing at a good pace and we have always said that it will be finished as quickly as possible.assures Laporta during the club’s general meeting this Saturday. We cannot control the unpredictable. The incidents are numerous. It is not easy to build a stadium of this scale. It is the most important work in southern Europe. The stadium is growing and we want to return there as quickly as possible, with UEFA rules. It will depend on the problems encountered but we have meetings every week“.
