Placed on the list of players to be transferred, Amine Harit refuses to leave OM without setting his conditions. The Moroccan wants to control his future.

Arriving at Olympique de Marseille in the summer of 2021 on loan, Amine Harit quickly established himself as an executive in the Marseille locker room. Now aged 27, the Moroccan international nevertheless finds himself in an uncomfortable position. Despite his involvement and his performances in the past, the Marseille management, under the leadership of Roberto De Zerbi, is considering his departure. But Harit, attached to the club and its environment, does not intend to leave under any conditions.

Harit wants to choose his destination

According to information from L’Equipe, OM suggested to Harit, as early as last summer, that a transfer was possible. However, the player did not give in, preferring to respond on the field. Now, as the winter transfer window approaches, the situation is repeating itself. The person concerned sets his own conditions: he will only leave for a project which corresponds to his sporting and personal expectations.

OM against Harit? Transfer or standoff.

A departure “to leave” does not seem to be an option for the Moroccan community. If the proposals do not satisfy him, he could decide to stay in Marseille, even in a secondary role. With a contract running until 2027 and a substantial salary, Harit knows he maintains a strong position.

A complex equation for OM

For Olympique de Marseille, this situation is delicate. The club is seeking to reduce its payroll and reorganize its workforce. However, finding a point of agreement with Harit and a buying club promises to be complex. His attachment to Marseille and his determination to choose his destination complicate a possible transfer.

This firm posture illustrates the former Nantes player’s desire not to be subject to the club’s decisions. It remains to be seen whether Marseille management will manage to resolve this equation by the end of the transfer window.
