Paris Saint-Germain is walking on water in Ligue 1. This Wednesday evening, the capital club won on AS Monaco in an advanced match counting for the 19th day (4 -2).

A result which allows the Rouge et Bleu to take off and now have 10 points on the Monegasques and 10 provisional points on their runner-up Olympique de Marseille.

With this masterful victory, Luis Enrique’s men continue their incredible series of unbeaten away matches in the league. The Ile-de-France residents are on a series of 32 consecutive matches without defeat away from home (24 wins and 8 draws).

This constitutes the third best run of this type among the five major European championships, tied with Inter Milan (2006-2008) and just behind Bayern Munich (33 games without defeat between 2012 and 2014).

An AC Milan record in sight?

If Paris Saint-Germain continues its momentum in 2025, it could equal or even surpass a valuable record held by AC Milan. Between 1999 and 1993, the Milanese had gone no less than 38 matches without defeat away.

The capital’s players are therefore 6 matches away from making history. But for that, the reigning French champions will have to get rid of RC Lens, Stade Brestois, Toulouse FC, Olympique Lyonnais, Stade Rennais and AS Saint-Etienne. To be continued…
