Despite some successful and quality matches, the Italian manager struggled to convince on the Olympian bench with more than irregular results. Results which cost him his departure only 5 months after his arrival at the club (9 victories, 8 draws and 7 defeats).
Today the 2006 world champion is on the bench for Hajduk Split in Croatia. Present on RMC Sportthe sporting director of the Croatian club François Vitali spoke about his relationship with the Italian and spoke of the latter’s regrets during his time at OM.
“ Of course we talked about his career, we talked about OM. I think he has a little regret, because he hoped to contribute a lot more than he did. And he may have been a little weighed down by certain things… So, he has regrets, that’s for sure,” he said.

Of course we can’t say we don’t have regrets when we’re at a big club like Marseille with such incredible passion.
