Beaten last week on the Mainz pitch (2-1), Bayern Munich quickly raised their heads by crushing RB Leipzig (5-1) this Friday evening, at the opening of the 15th day of the Bundesliga.

The match started on a rather crazy basis, with a goal from Jamal Musiala following an early loss of the ball on the start (1-0, 1st), and the equalizer from Benjamin Sesko straight away on a good serve from the former Lensois Loïs Openda (1-1, 2nd). But this response from the visitors was an illusion, because the rest of the meeting was one-sided.

Olise, decisive double passer

Already a decisive passer on the first goal, Michael Olise did it again by serving as relay for Konrad Laimer on a one-two to allow Bayern to take the lead (2-1, 25th). That’s now 9 goals and 8 assists in all competitions for Bayern.

Vincent Kompany’s men were reunited with their striker Harry Kane, who had been absent for four games due to a thigh injury. But the Englishman remained silent for once, and it was Joshua Kimmich (3-1, 36th), Leroy Sané (4-1, 75th) and Alphonso Davies (5-1, 78th) who increased the score.

Bayern will thus spend the break with at least four points ahead of their runner-up, Leverkusen, who will play later in the weekend. The resumption is scheduled for January 11 for the Bavarians, with a trip to Mönchengladbach.
