It’s a tricky time for Manchester City and Pep Guardiola. Between bad results and injuries. This Friday, at a press conference Pep Guardiola announced bad news.

The Catalan manager announced the injury to his defender Ruben Dias. The Portuguese defender reportedly suffered a muscle injury during the defeat to Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium. The central defender should be absent for the next 3-4 weeks, Pep Guardiola announced to journalists.

The 27-year-old will therefore miss the trip to Aston Villa this Saturday afternoon as part of the 17th day of the Premier League.

He is also uncertain for the crucial Champions League trip on January 22 to Paris Saint-Germain. A real blow for the English team which already has many injured among its squad…

Which 11 against Aston Villa?

Pep Guardiola is expected to make some changes to his defense with the absence of Ruben Dias. John Stones returning from injury could start the game against Villa.

Here is Man City’s probable 11: Ederson – Walker, Stones, Gvardiol, Lewis – Kovacic – Silva, De Bruyne, Foden, Doku – Haaland.
