According to The Corriere dello SportAS Roma seems determined to part ways with Paulo Dybala in January. A hasty sale to Galatasaray would be considered, with negotiations already well advanced.
Dybala, a contract in preparation with Galatasaray
Dybala’s agent, Carlos Novel, was seen in the presidential stand at the Ali Sami Yen stadium in Istanbul on Sunday, during Galatasaray’s spectacular victory against Trabzonspor (4-3). This clue reinforces rumors of an imminent transfer to the Turkish club. The proposed deal would be a two-and-a-half year contract, with net remuneration of 25 million euros until June 2027: 5 million for half of this season, followed by 10 million per year for the next two.
On the Turkish side, Galatasaray first wants to seal an agreement with the Argentinian before negotiating with Roma. The Roman leaders are seeking to accelerate the transaction to avoid the activation of an automatic clause which would extend Dybala’s contract to the tune of 8 million euros net annually. A financial burden considered unsustainable for the club, whose budget remains fragile.
Roma hopes to recover a small transfer fee estimated between 3 and 4 million euros to sell their player in January. However, the final decision rests in Dybala’s hands. The choice of player could be decisive in this winter soap opera which promises to be crucial for the finances of the Giallorossi.
If this transfer materializes, it would mark a turning point for Dybala, who would leave Italy after tumultuous months in Rome, but also a new opportunity for Galatasaray to strengthen its squad.
