Present at a press conference to take stock of the club’s mid-season, Olympian president Pablo Longoria spoke about the Pogba case. The boss of the Marseille team has not closed the door to the 2018 world champion although he affirms that no discussions are underway with the player.
“People talk to me more about Paul Pogba than about the results. He is an extraordinary player and person. I had the pleasure of sharing time with him at Juve. Medhi Benatia also has a very good relationship with Paul,”
he said.
Before continuing: “There is no discussion currently. We want to have an internal meeting this week to clearly set the objectives of the transfer window. Pogba is a world-class player, we have to analyze, he is in the transfer window. It’s always a pleasure to see great players playing with us, like Adrien Rabiort or Hojbjerg. There are no ongoing conversations with Paul, no decisions yet. I’m not closing the door because he’s on the market but it creates a news bubble around him. These are more speculations and dreams, more than reality. »
For the moment Paul Pogba still seems very far from OM. However, things could speed up for him as soon as the winter transfer window opens.
