On September 15, Bertrand Latour made his big debut in the “Canal Football Club”, on the occasion of the fourth day of Ligue 1. Since then, the sports journalist has been on set every Sunday evening, alongside star presenter Hervé Mathoux.

After three months officiating in the clear on the encrypted channel, the native of Albertville draws up a particularly positive assessment.
“A Sunday evening at Canal Football Club. I’ve been having a great time since my arrival in mid-September with the whole gang and it’s already almost the break. Just one last show before the break »he wrote on Instagram.

Bertrand Latour in the shoes of the “sniper” at the CFC

The leaders of Canal+ saw in Bertrand Latour the successor to Pierre Ménès in the (sometimes thankless) role of “sniper”. A profile that no longer really existed in the CFC since the latter was sidelined, followed by his dismissal during 2021.

A few days before joining the Canal group, the 32-year-old young man said his goodbyes on The Channel L’Equipeeight years after making his debut there. At the end of “L’Equipe du soir”, a program presented by Olivier Ménard, the sports journalist could not help but burst into tears.
