After an XXL transfer window, Paris Saint-Germain could be active again this winter. Luis Enrique, the Parisian coach, subtly expressed his expectations to strengthen his squad, particularly in two strategic positions.
A right back and a striker in demand
During his press conference before the clash against Monaco, Luis Enrique hammered home his wish: “I would like to have, in each position, two players capable of being starters, and for there to be real competition.” A statement which echoes two glaring gaps in the Parisian squad:
- An understudy for Achraf Hakimi: The right back plays a lot, without real competition, which worries his coach.
- A successful central striker: Neither Randal Kolo Muani, downgraded in recent weeks, nor Gonçalo Ramos have fully convinced. Luis Enrique seems keen to recruit a center forward capable of meeting his demands.
A crucial upcoming transfer window
The Parisian coach insisted on the importance of competition to keep the team at a high level: “The players must feel that if they are not up to standard, someone else will take their place. » The message is clear: Luis Enrique wants quality recruits to raise the level of his group and avoid any form of slackening.
