In search of its future striker, FC Barcelona is eyeing a French international.

Since the start of the season, FC Barcelona seems to have the best attack in La Liga with 50 goals scored in just 18 days. An impressive offensive efficiency which does not prevent the Catalan leaders from thinking about the future, and in particular the succession to Robert Lewandowski. Still as prolific with 23 goals in 17 league matches, the 36-year-old Polish striker is however approaching the end of his career.

Among the avenues mentioned in recent months, the name of Jonathan David, at the end of his contract with LOSC, had been circulating. But according to
Mundo Deportivoanother French-speaking talent is now on the radar of Spanish vice-champion Marcus Thuram.

Thuram, a profile that appeals in Europe

The Catalan sports daily claims that the French international’s performances have not left Barcelona management indifferent. Currently in great shape with Inter Milan, the Blues center forward has an excellent record of 12 goals and 6 assists in 20 appearances in all competitions this season. His latest achievement? A goal during the Nerazzurri festival on Monday, on the lawn of Lazio in Serie A.

However, the Blaugrana are not alone on this issue. Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham, three Premier League leaders, would also closely monitor Thuram’s situation. Paris Saint-Germain would also be on the lookout, while the 2022 world vice-champion is linked to the Lombard club until June 2028.
