During PSG’s victory against OL (3-1) this Sunday, the absence of Randal Kolo Muani, Milan Skriniar, and Presnel Kimpembe attracted attention. Asked about this choice at a press conference, Luis Enrique displayed a certain irritation, reinforcing the idea that he no longer counts on some of his players.

“I can only call 20 players”

Asked after the meeting about the absence of these players, in particular that of Kolo Muani, Luis Enrique responded succinctly: “Because I can only call 20 players. » But faced with the relaunch of a journalist emphasizing the astonishment of seeing a French international sidelined, the Spanish technician became annoyed: “I know I don’t speak French, but in Spanish, I couldn’t be clearer. Those who don’t understand, that’s not my problem. »

A clear message before the transfer window

The repeated absences of Kolo Muani and Skriniar could well mean voluntary sidelining before the winter transfer window. As for Presnel Kimpembe, his case seems different, the player still being in the comeback phase after his Achilles tendon injury. Luis Enrique, on the other hand, preferred to highlight the good dynamic of his team this week, between the victory in the Champions League against Salzburg (3-0) and this success against an OL undefeated for 10 matches.
