It was the match of the weekend in the Premier League. This Sunday evening, Manchester United overthrew Manchester City at the end of the match with a score of 2 goals to 1.

Joško Gvardiol opened the scoring in the first half. Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo overthrew the Citizens at the end of the match and air-conditioned the Etihad Stadium.

This success allows the Red Devils to take 12th place in the standings and return to victory in the championship after two defeats in a row.

For Manchester City, this defeat further plunges Pep Guardiola’s men into crisis. The Skyblues have now fallen to 5th position in the league, 3 points behind the top trio of Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Man City takes an early lead

The Citizens were keen to bounce back after the defeat in the Champions League against Juventus (2-0). From the start of the meeting, Kevin De Bruyne’s partners will make the difference. Joško Gvardiol propels his ball with his head into the back of the net following a cross from the Belgian midfielder (1-0, 36th).

Amad Diallo topples Man City

Dominated overall, Manchester United are not going to give up and turn the tables on Pep Guardiola at the end of the match. Bruno Fernandes ties the two teams by converting his penalty against Ederson (1-1, 88th).

A few minutes later, Amad Diallo plays Ederson and the Citizen defense before finishing with his left foot and offering victory to the red people (2-1, 90th).
