Barça disappoints again!

Only one victory in the last five league matches: this was Barça’s unflattering record at the kick-off of this meeting against Leganes, this Sunday evening. Sovereign in the Champions League, the Catalan club was at a standstill on the domestic scene.

A victory was therefore imperative this Sunday evening since the competition, namely the two Madrid clubs, is starting to come back in the rearview mirror. But Hansi Flick’s team failed again, against modest opposition since Leganes were seventeenth.

Barça can’t do it

It all started very badly for Barça since, to everyone’s surprise, it was the visitors who showered the Catalan arena at the start of the match. Leganes broke the deadlock in the fourth minute of play following a corner headed by Sergio Gonzalez (0-1, 4th).

The Blaugrana did not have the necessary ingredients to regain the upper hand and reverse the situation. Logically superior in the game, with overwhelming possession of the ball, the Catalans lacked efficiency and promptness in front of goal, like an unusually clumsy Robert Lewandowski. Still leader thanks to a better goal average than Atlético, Barça is at a standstill. This time, all the jokers have been burned.0
