This is the consequence of the big altercation which took place at the end of West Ham-Wolverhempton last Monday (2-1). Bruce Bowen and Mario Lemina came to blows after the final whistle, with the two men even ending up on the ground having to be separated by their teammates. The Englishman criticized the Gabonese for not having shaken his hand, causing this start of a fight. The former Marseillais did not improve his situation afterwards. He ended with a head to head with Shaun Derry, the Hammers assistant coach, before attacking Toti, his teammate, and a member of the Wolves staff in the locker room.

Lemina (31 years old) has lost credit in the eyes of her club and her coach. Gary O’Neil has decided to remove the captain’s armband. “Mario will continue to play an important role for us. “He will continue to be one of those experienced players that leads the team, but for now we feel it’s better to have Nelson (Semedo) lead this group.” informed the coach at a press conference this Friday. Wolverhampton’s situation in the Premier League is worrying since the club occupies 19th place before the very important reception of Ipswich (18th) this Saturday afternoon (4 p.m.).
