If Manchester City is experiencing an end to the calendar year marked by numerous setbacks on the pitch, 2024 has overall been a successful year for the Cityzens. In addition to winning a fourth consecutive Premier League title, a first in the history of English football, the Skyblues announced that they had achieved a record turnover of 715 million pounds and a profit of 73.8 million pounds. An unprecedented figure in the history of the Mancunian club, achieved thanks to its long-standing partnerships with Etihad Airways.
City also continued its global development strategy with the £300m expansion of the Etihad Campus, which includes the Etihad Stadium, training centre, club headquarters, as well as the new venue Co-op Live. By 2026, the Etihad Stadium will see its North Stand expanded, increasing the stadium’s capacity from 53,600 to 60,000. The construction of a hotel is also underway, as is that of a covered area for supporters around the stadium. Internationally, the City Football Group has already planned the construction of a new stadium in New York for 2027.
