The poster for the 6e Champions League day kept all its promises. This Wednesday evening at Signal Iduna Park, FC Barcelona defeated Borussia Dortmund (2-3) after a spectacular match.
Although both teams returned to the locker room at the break with a goalless draw, there were a good number of chances on both sides. Despite Barcelona’s domination, it was the Germans who had the most dangerous opportunities. A balance of power which was reversed in the second act.
Guirassy and Torres see double
Indeed, the Borussen dominated the second period, but they were surprised on the counter by the speed of the Blaugrana. The latter opened the scoring through their captain Raphinha (53e). Coming into play, Ferran Torres scored a double to offer victory to his team (75e85e). Guirassy nevertheless managed to equalize twice (60e and 78e), but that was not enough.
With this new success, Barça moves alone into second place in the standings with 15 points on the clock, three less than leader Liverpool. For its part, Dortmund is ninth with 12 units.
