Served by Brahim Diaz in the area, he followed up with perfect oriented control and a cross shot from the right which left the opposing goalkeeper no chance. But beyond the aesthetic, this achievement has a strong symbolism. Against Atalanta, Mbappé scored his first goal in the colors of Real Madrid last August, during the European Super Cup. This Italian team seems to bring him luck, as evidenced by this new moment of magic.
This goal is also special because it allows the Bondynois to reach the symbolic mark of 50 goals in the Champions League. He thus becomes the 9th player to reach this milestone, achieving this feat during Real Madrid’s match against Atalanta in Bergamo.
