These comments sparked a reaction from Philippe Diallo, president of the French Football Federation. In the columns of The Teamhe considered that an exchange between Mbappé and Didier Deschamps, the coach of the Blues, was necessary to clarify the question of the armband.
“It’s up to Kylian to raise this subject with Didier”he explained. “We have the next meeting in March 2025, the quarter-final of the League of Nations (against Croatia, editor’s note).
