Manager of Manchester City since 2016, Pep Guardiola is going through his biggest zone of turbulence since he was at the helm of the English champion. Before traveling to Manchester City to remain among the top eight C1 qualifiers, the Catalan won only one of his last nine matches in all competitions. Asked about his future in journalist Dani García’s podcast, he says he wants to stop his coaching career after his time with the Skyblues.
“I want to give up and go play golf, but I can’t. A day will come when I will feel that enough is enough and I will definitely stop at that point (…) I am not going to lead another team. I’m not talking about the long-term future, but what I’m not going to do is leave Manchester City, go to another country and do the same thing as today. (…) But a national team… but it’s different”explained the 53-year-old manager, already linked to the Brazilian selection for a while.
