The Professional Game Match Officials Board (PGMOL) has sacked Premier League referee David Coote with immediate effect following a “ thorough investigation » on his conduct. The English refereeing body declared that “Coote’s actions made his position untenable”, according to comments reported by the BBC. As a reminder, the affair began after the broadcast of a video where he uttered serious insults against Liverpool and Jürgen Klopp. Suspended by the Premier League while waiting for the matter to be clarified, David Coote faced another series of revelations.

THE Sun had released another damning video showing him rolling up bills to inhale a white powder resembling cocaine, in what appears to be a hotel room booked by UEFA. This video was allegedly filmed the day after the Euro 2024 quarter-final between Spain and Germany, a match where Coote officiated as a video assistant referee.
