Kylian Mbappé, Real Madrid star and captain of the Blues, finally broke the silence on Sunday evening during an interview on the show Click
on Canal+. For almost an hour, the striker addressed several hot topics such as his time at PSG, his status at Real Madrid, and even personal questions. However, despite this expected speech, many mysteries remain.
A controlled interview, but not very revealing
Mbappé chose a benevolent format to deliver his speech without opposition. He spoke about personal themes such as his mental health and his relationship with his brother, but remained vague on sporting issues. The questions surrounding his current performances, his strategic choices, or his tensions with football figures like Didier Deschamps or Nasser al-Khelaïfi, have not been fully explored.
“It was a friendly exchange, but we expected more frank answers about his difficulties at Real and his absences at Blue,” notes an analyst. Mbappé, however, surprised by talking about his brother Ethan and the family sacrifices he had to make: “If it weighs on you, I’ll continue with PSG,”
he would have told her. A moving anecdote which left an impression on the spectators.
