La Liga took a new turn this Monday. After the spectacular success of Atlético Madrid against Sevilla (4-3), a three-way fight seems to be looming for the title of champion of Spain.
The Colchoneros, currently third, are only three points behind FC Barcelona, leader of the championship, with one game in hand to play. For its part, Real Madrid, second, is two points behind the Catalan club, while also having a game to make up.
Griezmann determined
Asked about the ambitions of Atlético, Antoine Griezmann (9 goals, 6 assists, 22 matches in all competitions), faithful lieutenant of Diego Simeone and author of a double against the Andalusians, reaffirmed the determination of his team to play fully his chances. The French striker, who has never yet lifted the Spanish champion trophy despite a rich career between Real Sociedad (2009-2014), a first stint with Matelassiers (2014-2019), and a break at Barça (2019-2022), has lost none of its ambition.
“We are a united group and locker room, we are all going in the same direction. We see it every time recruits arrive. This is the path to dreaming big. The title? We’re going to try to win everything that’s left. There will be difficult times, but we must continue to fight,” Griezmann said on the channel Movistar+.
