Continuation of the 16th day in La Liga this Sunday with a nice clash between Atlético de Madrid and Sevilla FC. At home against the Andalusians, the Colchoneros could come back to three points behind the leader, FC Barcelona and one length behind Real Madrid, all with one game less on the Catalans. And it started well for Diego Simeone’s gang since Rodrigo De Paul quickly found the fault (1-0, 10th). However, the response was immediate with the equalizer from Dodi Lukebakio (12th). Worse, Isaac Romero hit the nail on the head shortly after the half-hour mark (2-1, 32nd).
Julian Alvarez thought he would equalize before the break (44th) but Juanlu Sanchez would instead worsen the score after returning from the locker room (3-1, 57th). With their backs to the wall, the Colchoneros would however react via Antoine Griezmann well served by Pablo Barrios (3-2, 62nd) then captain Koke ideally served Samuel Lino to reset the counters to zero in a crazy match (3-3, 80th). Finally, in added time, Antoine Griezmann saw double a sublime sequence and took on the hero’s costume (4-3, 90th +4). With this victory, Atlético de Madrid comes back to three points behind Barça with one game less and one unit behind Real Madrid.
