Mohamed Salah, Liverpool’s star scorer, is currently filling the transfer section. He will be at the end of his contract next summer and he has still not extended. PSG would have positioned themselves to sign him at the end of the current season.
So, will the Pharaoh really go to the French capital? Not according to former Egypt international Haytham Farouk. The latter indicated that he had information on the contractual situation of his compatriot.
According to the latter, Salah has already signed a new contract with the Merseysiders. The Reds have discussed the terms with the player’s representatives. There is an agreement in principle, but nothing is official.
Salah didn’t want to leave
Across the Channel, many fans and pundits have said the Reds should give Salah what he demands for a new contract. External pressure which would have led the LFC board to hurry up and give in to the demands of its scorer.
Farouk wrote on X (ex-Twitter): “ Congratulations on renewing your contract with the number you love and the duration you were hoping for. The Egyptian king rules with his own judgments.”
Salah would always have had the sole intention of staying. He is very attached to Liverpool. However – and this is completely legitimate – he wanted attractive contract conditions for what appears to be the last major commitment of his career.
