FC Barcelona is multiplying avenues for its 2025 summer transfer window, and the young talent from AS Monaco, Eliesse Ben Seghir, is particularly attracting the attention of Catalan leaders. At only 19 years old, the Moroccan attacking midfielder has had an impressive start to the season, both with his club and with the Atlas Lions.

A closely supervised talent

According to Le Matin and confirmed by sources close to Barça, emissaries from the club were sent to Monaco to observe Ben Seghir’s performance. The player is described as a technical and promising profile, capable of bringing a new dynamic to the Catalan midfield. Although Barca have also targeted Nico Williams as a priority to strengthen their attack, Hansi Flick, the club’s coach, seems seduced by the Monegasque’s versatility and potential.

If an offer were to be made, it could be part of Barça’s strategy of banking on young talents with high potential to perpetuate its sporting project.
