Real Madrid seem to have found the long-awaited successor to retired Toni Kroos. The solution would come from the Bundesliga, where Hugo Larsson, young Swedish talent from Eintracht Frankfurt, is attracting the attention of major European clubs. At only 20 years old, Larsson impresses with his maturity and his performances.

Arriving in Frankfurt in 2023 from Malmö, Larsson quickly made his mark. This season, he has already participated in 19 matches in all competitions, scoring 4 goals and providing 1 assist. His versatility and ability to dominate the midfield make him an ideal candidate to succeed Kroos. Currently under contract until 2029, he is valued at 28 million euros by Transfermarkt, but his club would demand 50 million euros to let him leave.

Fierce competition for Real Madrid

If Real Madrid is in pole position on this issue, it will face competition from Manchester United, also interested. The English club recently beat the Madrilenians on the transfer of Leny Yoro, which could complicate the Merengues’ task. At the same time, Real are following other options like Florian Wirtz, but Hugo Larsson could be a shorter-term solution to solidify their midfield.
