It was the end of the series in the English championship this Wednesday. Manchester City was able to regain a taste for victory after seven games in a row without success, while Liverpool had to share the honors with Newcastle. Concerning the Arsenal – Man United clash, it turned to the advantage of the Gunners (0-2).

Liverpool hanging on despite Salah

Having been struggling for several weeks, Manchester City had to wait for the return of Kevin De Bruyne to their starting eleven to get back on track. Against Nottingham Forest (3-0), the Belgian played a large part in his team’s success, with a goal scored and an assist offered. His compatriot Jérémy Doku also found the net.

At Saint-James Park, Newcastle achieved the feat of securing a draw against Liverpool. An equalizer collected on the wire thanks to Fabian Schar. While leading 2 to 1, the Magpies suffered the wrath of the Reds and in particular Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian once again took on the role of savior by scoring a double. And it was already him who offered the decisive pass for Curtis Jones’ equalizer in the first half. Unfortunately for him, his great performance of the day was not enough to extend the winning streak.

Man United fall to Arsenal

The runner-up to the Merseysiders is Chelsea. Enzo Maresca’s team achieved a comfortable success on the pitch of bottom-placed Southampton (5-1). Cole Palmer, his man in form, hit the mark again, while Frenchies Nkunku and Disasi also scored.

Regarding the poster for the Arsenal – Man United evening, it has long been boring. The stakes took precedence over the game until the Londoners managed to break away from the mark thanks to a goal from Jurrien Timber. William Saliba then took charge of doubling the lead at the end of the game. Ruben Amorim is no longer undefeated at the head of the Red Devils.
