You may not know this, but in the Premier League there is a rule that is over 60 years old. The blackout rule. It simply prohibits the broadcast of a football match (English and foreign) live on Saturday during a three-hour time slot, between 2:25 p.m. and 5:25 p.m. (English time).

Well according to the SunEnglish football authorities are reportedly considering removing this rule. The reason is simple. Many believe that this concept is outdated and that it favors the audience of illegal streamings. The idea is therefore to take advantage of the new cycle of Premier League TV rights (which begins in the summer of 2025 until 2029) to start again on new bases.
