Vairelles continued by saying that his father served as a lightning rod for him against people with bad intentions: “I had confidence in my father, that he was someone upright and honest. He was in charge of that and had a bit of a bad role. That was the fuse, because I was too nice. I would have given it to everyone. I got screwed during my career. You always have people who gravitate and who try to be friends.”
