Real Madrid were dealt a major blow this week when it was confirmed that Vinicius Junior was injured during Sunday’s win over Leganes.

The Brazilian will miss Wednesday’s Champions League match against Liverpool and his total absence is expected to be 2-3 weeks.

According to Diario AS, Ancelotti has spoken about Vinicius’ injury. “ The injury happened at the end of the match (against Leganes). It’s not so important when, but that he was injured. What matters is that he recovers quickly and thinks about the players who will replace him. »

Ancelotti gets annoyed

“Vinicius is serious and is not going to take risks. Those who returned from the selection appreciated it and Vinicius, like Valverde, was in good form – period. Then, sometimes the player gets injured. For what ? We already know it’s because there are too many matches. »

Ancelotti also addressed the injury situation as a whole, as the club has suffered 11 muscle problems in the last three months.

“We also had seven cruciate ligament injuries, and it’s complicated to avoid that. It’s difficult, because it’s not Real Madrid’s problem, but also that of other teams. Everyone deals with these things in their own way, but what doesn’t change is injuries. We have to deal with it. We have to think like last year, that injuries are an opportunity to improve. It is no coincidence that the injuries to Lucas, Militao and Rodrygo changed the dynamic of the team. »
