However, as he entered the final year of his contract, several rumors linked his name to a possible transfer to Fenerbahçe, a team managed by José Mourinho.

“The rumors about Cristiano Ronaldo moving to Fenerbahce are ridiculous,” Mourinho first responded. “Cristiano could come to Istanbul to eat, because it’s just halfway between Saudi Arabia and Portugal. Or maybe he’ll come see his old friend José, we can eat at my hotel. »
