Fenerbahçe, Mourinho responds cash for the arrival of Ronaldo

José Mourinho, the coach of the Turkish club, has responded bluntly to rumors regarding a transfer of Ronaldo to Fenerbahçe.

Cristiano Ronaldo continues his goal harvest with Al-Nassr. His latest feat, a double in the victory against Al-Gharafa (3-1) this Monday in the AFC Champions League. However, as he entered the final year of his contract, several rumors linked his name to a possible transfer to Fenerbahçe, a team managed by José Mourinho.

The Portuguese coach, former manager of Ronaldo at Real Madrid, however denied these speculations concerning the recruitment of the five-time Ballon d’Or. The Special One, however, did not fail to include a touch of humor, leaving the door open for a friendly meeting with the native of Funchal.

Ronaldo leaves doubt over his retirement

“The rumors about Cristiano Ronaldo moving to Fenerbahce are ridiculous,” Mourinho first responded. “Cristiano could come to Istanbul to eat, because it’s just halfway between Saudi Arabia and Portugal. Or maybe he’ll come see his old friend José, we can eat at my hotel. »

For his part, Ronaldo recently suggested that retirement was not yet on the agenda, even if it was on the horizon. “Planning for my retirement… if it should happen, in one or two years… I don’t know. I will soon be 40… I really want to enjoy it, as long as I feel motivated I will continue”he confided. And to conclude: “The day I no longer feel motivated, I will retire. »
