Luis Enrique, PSG coach, has reportedly made a decision regarding the goalkeeper he will field against Bayern on Tuesday evening.
PSG will play a crucial match for its European future on Tuesday evening. At the Allianz Arena, the Ile-de-France team challenges Bayern Munich, who are in just as bad shape in this competition. The big question concerning the Parisian eleven concerned the goalkeeper. Who, Gianluigi Donnarumma or Matvey Safonov, was going to guard the cage of the French champions?
Last Friday, during the match against Toulouse in the championship, it was the Russian who was chosen. Luis Enrique, the team coach, was asked if the choice was final. Not without humor, the Spaniard replied:
“Maybe yes, maybe no.”

There has been no hint of his intentions since, but if the latest set-up by the Parisian team is to be believed, the decision has been made to change again. Against the Bavarians, experience will be favored. And this is why Donnarumma will be called upon to take his place again.
Luis Enrique has not yet announced his decision to those interested. He should do it a few hours before the game in order to keep the two goalkeepers involved. “I want all my players to be ready to play“, he indicated Monday at a press conference. A statement which is therefore not limited only to outfield players.
Note that Donnarumma had taken part in Paris’ last three matches in C1. Safonov played first against Girona and it was the only one the Ile-de-France residents had won in this competition so far. Note also that the Italian did not manage to sign the slightest clean sheet during the various matches played.
