FC Barcelona is no longer interested in Manchester City striker Erling Haaland. The Catalan club is now exploring other avenues to strengthen its offensive sector.
While Haaland was announced at Barça since the end of last season, El Chiringuito claims that the Catalans no longer consider his signing with them to be realistic in the immediate future.
Haaland and Barça, a game postponed?
Instead of betting on the highly prized Scandinavian striker, Barca will prioritize signing a big-name player in 2025 and also plan to extend Robert Lewandowski’s contract by two years, until 2027. The Pole has moreover warned his management that he would not be satisfied with a new one-year lease.
Haaland, meanwhile, is in advanced talks with City over a new contract, ending any speculation he will leave next year. The former BVB was also comforted by the fact that Pep Guardiola is extending his adventure at the Etihad Stadium.
