The 2025 Club World Cup in the United States in the absence of the 2026 World Cup in North America? Zinédine Zidane would have a very interesting opportunity on the table: he is one of the coaches mentioned to lead Inter Miami! David Beckham, owner of the Florida franchise, is reportedly thinking of his friend “Zizou” to succeed Tata Martino, who has just announced his contract termination. The Herons return to MLS in three months and will mainly compete in the Club Super World Cup organized by Fifa in the Land of Uncle Sam, from June 15 to July 13.

Zidane, without a club since his departure from Real Madrid in 2021, is obviously awaiting the end of Didier Deschamps’ contract at the head of the France team at the end of the 2026 World Cup. He will make a perfect coach for the Blues of Kylian Mbappé. But he could have a valuable experience at Inter Miami for a year, at the head of this team led by “La Pulga” which finished at the top of the regular season (before falling in the first round of the playoffs).

Henry cited in addition to Zidane

MLS followers are suddenly excited about the potential arrival of the 98 Ballon d’Or, three-time winner of the Champions League as coach of Real. In September 2023, a month after Messi’s arrival, Zidane came to support Inter Miami during a home match, invited by “Becks” (who had come to visit his friend Frenchy in the Z5 of Istres a few months ago). In addition to Messi and his friends Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets and Luis Suarez, the Miami squad is half made up of Spanish-speaking players (before the off-season which will soon begin). There are 14 other Latin American players, including Federico Redondo, Fernando’s son.

Goal USA mentions several other renowned coaches. Thierry Henry and not leave England, where he lives with his family, and the recent Blaugrana coach hopes to bounce back in Europe. Javier Mascherano would be a choice of Lionel Messi if he was inducted into the helm of Inter Miami. Zidane would perhaps dream more of Zidane!
