Real Madrid, in search of defensive reinforcements, have reportedly set their sights on Castello Lukeba, the former Olympique Lyonnais defender, now at RB Leipzig. According to Fabrizio Romano, Lukeba has a release clause in his contract, active from the summer of 2025, set at 90 million euros, which can vary depending on the season. This sum does not scare the Merengues, ready to invest to compensate for the injuries of Militao and Alaba. These have seriously weakened their rearguard this season.

A fight with English clubs

Lukeba, who has established himself as an indisputable starter at Leipzig, is also attracting the interest of several Premier League clubs. Real Madrid, eager to avoid further disillusionment after missing out on Leny Yoro, want to act quickly to secure the services of the 21-year-old defender. Besides Lukeba, Real are also monitoring other options in the Bundesliga, such as Jonathan Tah (Bayer Leverkusen) and Alphonso Davies (Bayern Munich). The priority, however, seems to be the young Frenchman, seen as a bet for the future and immediate reinforcement.
