Manchester United could have an ace up their sleeve to recruit a particularly promising young Portuguese player.
The Red Devils are considering signing rising Sporting CP star Geovany Quenda next summer. According to A Bola, Ruben Amorim could be the key to reaching an agreement with the Lisbon team.
Amorim made a promise to Sporting
Note that Amorim promised Sporting that he would not sign any of his players in January. If necessary, he will wait until the next offseason so as not to weaken his former team. The Portuguese outlet claims that United are more than keen to sign Quenda at the end of the season. The English giant sees him as a good pick. A bit like Cristiano Ronaldo was when the Red Devils went to get him in 2003.
Quenda has a €100 million release clause in his contract, but he will certainly be available for less.
