During the Champions League meeting between PSG and Atlético de Madrid, Parisian CUP supporters decided to deploy a tifo concerning the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. A giant banner had been deployed with the inscription “Free Palestine” to try to send a message of peace according to the ultra group. A banner which had led to very big controversies in the process and which had made PSG react. Summoned by the Ministry of the Interior following this affair, the capital club decided to prohibit access to the stadium outside of CUP match days and to ban tifo at the Parc des Princes in 2024.

A treatment which scandalized Parisian supporters and the club’s various ultra groups. And they can count on the support of supporters all over the world. During the Botola meeting (Moroccan championship) between Wydad Casablanca and IR Tangier, the Ultras Winners 2005, a group of ultras from Wydad, displayed a banner in support of the CUP. “FREE PALESTINE, freedom of the ultras trampled, but Charlie is free to draw”wrote Moroccan supporters referring to the sanctions against the CUP.
