This Saturday, Jude Bellingham found the net for the first time this season in La Liga during the resounding victory against Osasuna (4-0). A decisive passer on Vinicius Jr’s opener, author of a hat-trick, the English midfielder also scored the break goal before the break. Apart from an assist for Kylian Mbappé against Alaves in September, he had not scored since May 14, against the same Basque club.
At the end of the meeting, the Three Lions star reacted to criticism of his statistics, lower than those of the previous season (13 goals and 4 assists in the same period), by highlighting his different role in the Merengue midfield.
Bellingham puts team first
“I had a match“I always do it, but this time I scored a goal,” commented the England international. There is criticism because I scored a lot of goals last season, but my role has changed this season, I play in other areas of the pitch”explained the Stourbridge native.
Bellingham says he is ready to do anything to serve the Madrid collective, even if it means putting his individuality aside. “I will do everything for the good of the team. I have been less selfish and I would like to continue like that. My goal is to help the team in any way”he said.
