Lens pushes Nantes

What suspense and what a topsy-turvy scenario observed by the Bollaert public this Saturday evening as part of the 11th day of L1! While they held the three points of victory five minutes from the end of the debates, the Nantes residents bowed to their Lens counterparts, overthrown in the space of just four minutes (2-3).

To achieve this crazy outcome, it was first from the penalty spot that the two teams opened hostilities – Simon having responded in the exercise (36e) at Frankowski’s opening score (21e). All for a score of parity held for a long time, until this brilliance from Cozza and a goal from the Canaries which almost plunged the Artesian people into fear (1-2, 71e).

Nantes on the brink of the abyss

Weary for the people of Nantes, and fortunately for the people of Lens, the collective led by Antoine Kombouaré sometimes commits largesse – small gifts from which the opportunists Ojediran were able to benefit (2-2, 86e) and Thomasson (2-3, 90e) at the very end of the match. It’s cruel of course for the visitors, who have a third consecutive setback and find themselves on the edge of the abyss, in 15e position. It is a boon, however, for the Sang et Or who, after two defeats, are temporarily back in the top 5, three lengths from the podium.
