Beaten by Borussia Dortmund in the league last weekend, RB Leipzig (2nd) had to win against Borussia M’Gladbach (9th) to avoid seeing Bayern Munich fly to the top of the Bundesliga. Unfortunately for Loïs Openda’s teammates, this victory never came.

At the end of an unappealing match, the two teams parted with a goalless draw (0-0), at the Red Bull Arena (Leipzig). In the Bundesliga standings, Leipzig remains second, but is now five points behind Bayern, winner in St. Pauli. Borussia M’Gladbach remains in ninth position.
