Nottingham Forest supporters are over the moon at the start of the season. Authors of a fabulous start to the season, the Reds occupy third place in the Premier League table, behind Liverpool and Manchester City. Forest’s offensive leader, Chris Wood stacks the goals. The 32-year-old center forward has also just been voted best player of the month for October in the Premier League. He becomes the first player in Nottingham Forest’s history to win this distinction.
The previous month, the New Zealand international scored four goals in three matches: a goal against Chelsea (October 6), another against Crystal Palace (October 21) and a double on the Leicester City pitch (on October 25). Since the start of the season, Wood has found the net eight times, making him the second top scorer in PL (tied with Bryan Mbeumo), behind Erling Haaland.
