Italian daily Tuttosport claims Paul Pogba’s future remains uncertain as he seeks a new club to revive his career following the reduction of his suspension. While his relationship with Juventus is about to end, the French midfielder received advice from Emmanuel Petit, the former French international.
Petit believes Pogba would be a perfect fit for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, citing the player’s desire for redemption after the doping affair. “Honestly, Arsenal should take the gamble on signing Paul Pogba. He will give everything on the pitch. It will take him a few weeks to be in full possession of his means, but he will be keen to redeem himself,” Little said.
“Pogba wants to take his revenge”
The former midfielder stressed that Pogba suited the Gunners’ midfield, recalling his athletic qualities and also his creative side. Petit added: “We all know how happy Pogba usually is. He needs love and trust, and I think Arteta and Arsenal can give him that.”
Petit is confident in Pogba’s motivation to return to top form, despite being away for more than a year. “Paul Pogba will become free at 32. I don’t remember the last time I saw him smile. Pogba wants revenge, he wants to prove to himself and to fans around the world that he is not finished yet. The French team missed him,” explains Petit.
And continued: “Apparently he is working hard to get back in shape for the match. I know Pogba’s personality, I know he is ready to do anything to get back on the pitch.”
