The misfortune of one person makes the happiness of others. And this is especially true in football, even more so when it comes to the two enemy brothers of Spanish football, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. Obviously, on the Catalan side, we are enjoying ourselves at the moment. All the frustration and criticism that falls on the Merengues makes the Catalans smile, who on top of that are on cloud nine thanks to the good performances of their favorite club.

Since last night, articles have multiplied in the Catalan media. “Ancelotti, stay! »mocks for example a journalist from Sport in an opinion article, believing that the dismissal of the Italian would not be good news for FC Barcelona. “The defense is terrible, the midfielder makes childish mistakes and the attackers’ line of sight is damaged. The fault of all this is Carlo Ancelotti and the obsession with recruiting stars even if it is not necessary”can we read in the same paper.

Mbappé is expensive

“A Real Madrid weighed down by Mbappé and disoriented by Ancelotti”adds Sport in another article. Indeed, the rather mediocre performances of the Bondynois are the focus of the Barcelona media. It must be said that last summer, the Madrilenians had rather puffed out their chests, proud to have attracted the man they considered to be the best player in the world. And this, while the Barcelona residents, in the midst of a financial crisis, had a rather calm transfer window.

“This team is not playing anything. The whole Bernabéu is waiting for an outburst from Vinicius Jr or something from Mbappé, but there is no solid footballing concept behind the individualities”underlines Mundo Deportivo. “Without Kroos, there is no more football. (…) Either Carlo Ancelotti pulls a magic trick up his sleeve, or this Real Madrid will wander around all season with this stingy football”adds the media in another article. The comparison with Hansi Flick, who managed to impose his mark in just a few weeks, is also very much highlighted by the pro-Barça media. But as they say, he who laughs last laughs best…
