Are we finally going to see Habib Beye on the bench of a French elite team? This possibility was strongly mentioned this Tuesday. The former defender is expected to join a Ligue 1 team, whose current coach is in the hot seat
The club in question is Stade Rennais. Following the heavy defeat recorded against Auxerre last weekend (0-4), Julien Stéphan found himself in the hot seat. His credit is almost exhausted and to replace him we are therefore considering calling on Beye. This is what France Bleu Armorique reveals.
Beye in competition with a great Portuguese coach
Negotiations have already started and there is talk of hiring Beye along with his deputy Matthieu Le Scornet. The quarter-finalist of the 2002 World Cup would probably jump at the chance to drive at the highest national level, he whose name has often circulated around Lyon and Marseille in recent months.
Beye is, however, not the only technician to be followed by the SRFC. There is also an alternative option and his name is Sergio Conceiçao (ex FC Porto). The latter has two advantages: that of being free (just like Beye) and that of knowing Brittany well since he previously coached FC Nantes.
