Record turnover for PSG

As part of a press conference on the economic and societal impact of the club, organized this Monday morning, Paris Saint-Germain announced that it had completed the 2023-2024 financial year with a turnover of 805.9 million euros. This is quite simply a record for the club from the French capital. Last year, the Rouge et Bleu generated 802 million euros. Note that the reigning French champions finished on the podium during this period, just behind Real Madrid (831 million euros) and Manchester City (826 million euros).

“With €243 million in added value and €371 million in social and fiscal contribution for the 2023/2024 season, Paris Saint-Germain has established itself as a key player in the Ile-de-France economy, according to a new study by the Law Center and Sports Economics (CDES). Paris Saint-Germain and the Center for Sports Law and Economics (CDES) presented this morning the results of the study “Economic impact and social utility of Paris Saint-Germain” in Île-de-France for the season 2023/2024. Entitled “A Club serving its territory”, this study highlights the strength of Paris Saint-Germain’s local roots. €243 million in value created: PSG, a leading economic player in the Ile-de-France economic fabric. Paris Saint-Germain generated a total economic impact of €243 million for the 2023/2024 season. In 5 years, Paris Saint-Germain’s contribution to the wealth created in Île-de-France has increased by 25% (€182.2M during the 2018-2019 season which was the subject of the previous CDES report). The organization of sporting events is, unsurprisingly, the main value-creating activity by Paris Saint-Germain, with €74.6 million. Paris Saint-Germain is also a leading employer with 2,379 supported full-time equivalents. This figure breaks down as follows: 746 direct jobs, 291 indirect jobs and 1,342 induced jobs. The Île-de-France region thus benefits from the dimension taken by PSG on a European scale: with revenues of €805M in 2023-2024, PSG is the 3rd club generating the most revenue in Europe, and its growth annual average of 17.9% since 2010-2011 places it at the top of the Top 20 European clubs.”

€371M: a social and tax contribution comparable to that of the largest French companies

For the 2023/2024 season, Paris Saint-Germain’s total contribution to public finances amounted to more than €371 million, an increase of 44% compared to the 2018-2019 season, and the equivalent of 7. 4% of the Region’s budget.

Since 2011, the contributions of the Club and its stakeholders to public finances have approached 3 billion euros.

These social and tax contributions are in line with those of CAC40 and SBF120 companies and illustrate the extent of PSG’s support for public authorities, in particular local authorities.
